Q - what does homegrown mean?

Dave Owen Basketball is a platform to specifically promote, and provide objective information on, homegrown British players. I made the decision to define this as players who have a British passport and have played registered junior basketball in Britain. Therefore, this excludes

• Professional imports playing in British leagues, and US College/High School players, who have a British passport but have not played registered junior basketball in Britain.


• Players who have played registered junior basketball in Britain, and may have British citizenship, but do not have a British passport and are therefore not eligible to play for our National teams or play as a domestic player in our National Leagues.
Note: My understanding is a British passport is not required to be classed as homegrown in the BBL, so that differs from my definition.
